Alien chest burst reenactment

A nice laugh for this evening.

Focused Light

Very cool....

snow and ice

Last night, driving home over a couple of inches of compacted snow and a layer of ice underneath our van's tires lost traction causing it to slide towards a curb and a pole. While we were sliding, a very bright yellow triangle with an exclamation point lit up in our dashboard. The indicator was bright enough to make me shift my attention away from controlling the van to see what it was complaining about. To my aggravation, it was indicating that the tires could not get traction. "No sh**, Sherlock!", I blurted.

Goodbye Leslie

Leslie Nielsen passed away November 28, 2010. Sixty years of acting--sixty years of entertaining. Some of his characters were silly and goofy, sometimes to the point of making me groan with agony and yet chuckle at the same time. Goodbye and thanks, Leslie!

See? I'm not blogging.

Brain dead and not much to write about. There's a bunch of stuff that I'd like to try out and do, but so little time.

Ear Aches

My wife and I were up several time last night because my four year old son has another ear infection and a fever. We did what we could to make him comfortable, but he still felt miserable. It is very hard to convince a four year old that the pain will ease up in a little bit, when the medicine kicks in. This is the second time in two months for the same ear.

Ultraviolet Andromeda [APOD]

Wiggle the pointer in and out of the picture for the full effect:

So go out with your binoculars and take a look for yourself ;)

Now, if only we could convince people and companies to stop polluting the night sky with light.
